So So So Much to Write About!

Wow! Has it really been almost 3 months since I last updated my blog!? I've just been such a busy guy lately - can't believe I only had 3 teeth when I last posted. I now have 8 teeth!!! And I think I may even be getting my first molar (OUCH!) Well, I have so much to write about so this might take a while...

So, February was a fun month - my last month before officially becoming a toddler! I went to Boston to visit my a bunch of daddy's friends from college (and their kids).

And I got to see my great-grandma and great-great-grandma again as well as my Suba athai and many mamas, masis, baas, dadas and cousins who are all so fun to play with!!

And then it was finally March - my 1st birthday month!! Although my actual birthday (March 5) was pretty low key, I had fun celebrating at home with my parents, patti, thatha and athai. We were saving the real celebration for my BIG birthday party in April!

And then immediately after turning 1, I flew to Las Vegas with my mom for MTV Spring Break 2011 at the Palms Casino Resort to hang out with Ashok dada, Umi baa, Pauly D, Snoop Dogg and many more cool people who flew out to perform a happy birthday concert just for me! (ok, fine, maybe not, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!) My baa and dada even took me to some circus shows and to see big lions and to eat in fancy restaurants.

Even after returning to NYC from Las Vegas, my fun March wasn't over...we then went to DC to see Naina baa and JD dada since I hadn't seen them since I was baby 6 months ago (and I got to play with all my sisters - Ashvini, Nayathi, Shneha and Shraviya!) I also found out that I LOVE the swings!! Make sure you watch the videos of me swinging - so fun!

So, with March over, it was time to get ready for my first birthday party and what fun it was!! It seemed like we had a million people there, all there to wish me a happy birthday. And my daddy picked the theme - Star Wars! I was dressed like Darth Vadar and I was allowed to dig into my very own chocolate cake and eat as much as I wanted with my hands! I wish I was turning ONE every day!

Even though I was exhausted after all the excitement of the birthday party, I rested up all week so I could be ready to party again at Mehul mama's wedding the following weekend in Virginia! My Vaishy masi brought be a bunch of cute outfits from India for me to wear to the wedding - I felt like a little maharaja!

And it's always so exciting to see my great-grandma Kamlabaa and great-great-grandma Surajbaa so often!

Well, that's all for now - make sure you check out ALL my pictures in my latest 2 photo albums. And April isn't even over yet - we're off to Chicago next weekend to see Neil mama and attend another wedding so I'll be back in a few weeks with more pictures and stories from my first visit to the Windy City!

BBall, Climbing, New Teeth, SNOW and more!

I'm another month older and only about a month away from turning 1 - crazy how time flies!!! Seems like just yesterday that all did was eat, sleep & poop.

This month, I went to my first SUNS game (vs. Knicks) at Madison Square Garden with my mom! The Suns won and it was a great game!!

I went to my first 1st birthday party for a friend of mine all dressed up in my cool indian chudidaar.

I finally learned how to climb!! And here's proof - my mom took a video of me climbing onto my armchair.

I played in AND ate fresh snow for the very first time!!

AND the most excting news is that I now have 3 big teeth (and one more coming in for sure!) You can see all 3 of them if I smile really, really big like this:

So, they say February is a short month - hope that means my birthday is that much closer!

My first Holidays - come & gone so fast!

My first holiday season has come and gone - and so, so many fun stories to share! AND I've reached a bunch of new milestones...

First of all, I was right last month - I did, in fact, get my first tooth just before Thanksgiving! A bottom tooth and it's so much fun to bite food (and mommy & daddy) with it. You can sort of see it in this picture.

And then, over Thanksgiving weekend at my Patti & Thatha's house, I started to move around on my own - I started crawling (well, sort of). It's more efficient than crawling actually...I stay in sitting position and slide around - that way, I don't have to stop and get back into sitting position and so on! Well, just take a look at the video - it's also great because I can just take my blanket with me everywhere I go!

More excitingly, I've recently learned to pull myself up and stand so now I can reach all new heights!! Just a litte more practice and I'll be running around on my two legs like all those bigger kids in my gym class!

As you can see, I've been busy these past few months but this isn't even all of it! I went to my first Diwali party and wore a cool Indian "dhothi" outfit!

Then my parents and I went to Arizona to my Umi baa and Ashok dada's house to spend Christmas and New Year's Eve with them, Neil mama, Shilpa masi, Anand masa and Ashvini and baby Nayathi! We even went to the Phoenix Zoo where I saw real life Sophies (giraffes). There's a fun video of my Ashok dada and me playing our "bull fighting game" in AZ!

Also, don't forget to check out all my recent pictures and pictures of my latest photo shoot with my daddy's friend, Conor! I think I look pretty darn spiffy in that awesome tie...I have many more - now if I only I had more occasions to where them to.
