So, February was a fun month - my last month before officially becoming a toddler! I went to Boston to visit my a bunch of daddy's friends from college (and their kids).
And I got to see my great-grandma and great-great-grandma again as well as my Suba athai and many mamas, masis, baas, dadas and cousins who are all so fun to play with!!
And then it was finally March - my 1st birthday month!! Although my actual birthday (March 5) was pretty low key, I had fun celebrating at home with my parents, patti, thatha and athai. We were saving the real celebration for my BIG birthday party in April!
And then immediately after turning 1, I flew to Las Vegas with my mom for MTV Spring Break 2011 at the Palms Casino Resort to hang out with Ashok dada, Umi baa, Pauly D, Snoop Dogg and many more cool people who flew out to perform a happy birthday concert just for me! (ok, fine, maybe not, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!) My baa and dada even took me to some circus shows and to see big lions and to eat in fancy restaurants.
Even after returning to NYC from Las Vegas, my fun March wasn't over...we then went to DC to see Naina baa and JD dada since I hadn't seen them since I was baby 6 months ago (and I got to play with all my sisters - Ashvini, Nayathi, Shneha and Shraviya!) I also found out that I LOVE the swings!! Make sure you watch the videos of me swinging - so fun!
So, with March over, it was time to get ready for my first birthday party and what fun it was!! It seemed like we had a million people there, all there to wish me a happy birthday. And my daddy picked the theme - Star Wars! I was dressed like Darth Vadar and I was allowed to dig into my very own chocolate cake and eat as much as I wanted with my hands! I wish I was turning ONE every day!
Even though I was exhausted after all the excitement of the birthday party, I rested up all week so I could be ready to party again at Mehul mama's wedding the following weekend in Virginia! My Vaishy masi brought be a bunch of cute outfits from India for me to wear to the wedding - I felt like a little maharaja!
And it's always so exciting to see my great-grandma Kamlabaa and great-great-grandma Surajbaa so often!
Well, that's all for now - make sure you check out ALL my pictures in my latest 2 photo albums. And April isn't even over yet - we're off to Chicago next weekend to see Neil mama and attend another wedding so I'll be back in a few weeks with more pictures and stories from my first visit to the Windy City!
